Timeline of Support
From 16 weeks we offer Scans + Bloods + Plan Your Baby Support
Late Period
- Blood tests including BHCG, Full blood count, Thyroid function and Progesterone
- Consultation with a specialist to discuss monitoring
- BHCG and Progesterone tested every 2-3 days for the first 2 weeks
6 weeks Pregnant
- BHCG and Progesterone blood test repeated
- First ultrasound scan performed
8 weeks Pregnant
- Ultrasound scan performed
- Blood test including Progesterone and full blood count
10 weeks Pregnant
- Ultrasound scan repeated
- Blood test including Progesterone and full blood count
10-12 weeks Pregnant
- Nuchal ultrasound scan performed
- Blood test performed including full blood count and Thyroid function if taking thyroxine
50% of miscarriages are due to non-genetic causes.
Through a monitoring regime, we detect and address treatable conditions.
Our monitoring regime includes:
- Regular blood tests for ~2 weeks, allowing us to provide supporting medications depending on your results.
- Initial ultrasound scan when you are ~6 weeks pregnant.
- We may then advise that you have weekly scans and blood tests until you are ~10-12 weeks pregnant.
Please note, should we detect an ectopic pregnancy, PUL pregnancy or pregnancy in an unknown location or in the course of our monitoring and diagnostic testing we will not be able to offer treatment but will provide all information on your case to your chosen first-response healthcare provider.
