New to our team: Dr Mara Kotrotsou, specialist in low ovarian reserve and recurrent treatment failure
Being told you have low ovarian reserve, or having a cycle that hasn’t worked, often leaves patients unsure what to try next. In many cases, the answer is a treatment plan built around the individual rather than a standard protocol.
That’s the approach Dr Mara Kotrotsou brings to Plan Your Baby™, where she joins us as a Fertility Consultant.
Dr Kotrotsou has specialised in reproductive medicine since 2010, starting at IVF Hammersmith and going on to consultant roles at Bourn Hall, CARE Fertility and Kings Fertility. Her clinical focus is on patients with low ovarian reserve and those who have had unsuccessful treatment before.
She has published on natural and modified natural IVF, gentler approaches that can suit some patients with fewer eggs, as well as on single embryo transfer and genetic testing of embryos. She is also a British Fertility Society certified trainer in pelvic ultrasound and embryo transfer.
Alongside her clinical work, she served as Chief Medical Officer at Apricity and holds an MBA from Imperial College Business School, which gives her a clear view of how fertility care works best when delivered remotely.
How Dr Kotrotsou will support PYB patients
Patients can book a remote consultation with Dr Kotrotsou to review what’s happened so far and discuss which options suit them. Blood tests and scans are arranged at a location near them, and she adjusts the plan as results come in. The wider PYB care team stays in touch throughout, so patients always know the next step.
Consultations with Dr Kotrotsou are available to book now.
